Switzerland’s Vontobel Asset Management (Vontobel AM) has hired Bobby Bostic as senior relationship manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Bostic will report to Jurg Fritschi, who is designated as Vontobel AM’s deputy head in Asia Pacific, according to Asia Asset Management.

Bostic, who has nearly 20 years experience in investment management industry, previously worked at Russell Investments.

He earlier served as an investment consultant in Auckland for Russell, as well as served in senior roles at Capital Group in Singapore and Sydney.

The firm said that it looks to focus on boosting its institutional client coverage in Australia and New Zealand with the hiring of Bostic.

At present, Vontobel AM manages almost A$9.4bn ($7.1bn) in assets and advisory in these two markets.
