UBS Wealth Management USA has joined forces with Vestmark Advisory Solution to gain access to model portfolio service for zero-fee Separately Managed Accounts (SMA).

The offering consists of model portfolios developed by Capital Group, BlackRock, JPMorgan, Natixis Investment Managers, Dimensional Fund Advisors, and Nuveen.

As part of the tie-up, eight model portfolio suites have been made available to UBS clients. Vestmark will be the discretionary overlay manager.

The SMA strategies are available to the clients through UBS Wealth Management USA’s ACCESS platform.

UBS head of Wealth Management USA Jason Chandler said: “I’m pleased that we can increase investor choice and provide greater differentiation to meet our clients’ unique needs, outcomes, and investment objectives.

“At the same time, we’re giving our advisers a competitive advantage by adding strategies that complement our offering in a pricing structure our clients love.”

Vestmark said that its solution for UBS is designed to streamline the delivery and management of models for the asset managers who develop them, and the financial advisers who deliver them through SMAs.

Each model was constructed by its asset manager to address various objectives and enable UBS’ advisers to address a wider spectrum of client needs, noted the company.

In 2018, Vestmark introduced the Model Trading Service to facilitate model management, trading, rebalancing and account administration outsourcing for broker-dealers, RIAs, banks and their advisers.
