Vanguard, a mutual fund company, has named Heston Goh as new head of institutional sales for Singapore.

In his new role, he will develop and expand the firm’s institutional business in Southeast Asia by building strong relationships and exploring new opportunities with major institutions in the region.

Based in Singapore, Goh will report to Shelley Painter, managing director for Asia, reported Asian Investor.

Goh joined Vanguard from Nomura Asset Management, where he was responsible for focusing on institutional clients in Southeast Asia.

Prior to this, he worked at Lion Global Investors for six years as a senior institutional sales manager and also at United Overseas Bank.

Painter said: "This is another sign of Vanguard’s commitment to Asia. With a well-established sales team on the ground, we can better serve both existing and future institutional clients across the region."
