Fund manager Vanguard has appointed Michael Roach as the new head of quantitative equity group (QEG) for Australia.
Roach has been serving the group since 19 years, including an eight year spell as a portfolio manager with the quantitative equity group.

He will relocate to Melbourne from US to take up the new responsibility.
The firm also appointed Janel Jackson as assistant portfolio manager of the local quantitative management team.
Jackson formerly worked in investment search and oversight for traditional and alternative active mandates, and as chief of staff for the global CIO of Vanguard. Roach and Jackson will serve Vanguard’s active funds range in Australia.
