U.S. Bank has appointed Scott Schmid as its new market leader for The Private Client Reserve in San Diego, replacing former head John Zygowicz who retired in the end of 2015.

Scott joined The Private Client Reserve in 2010, and presently serves as a wealth management advisor and managing director at the unit’s St. Louis office.

He is responsible for managing about $3bn in client investments, which includes $300m in active foundation and charitable administration.

Scott will take over the new responsibility on 9 May, and will move to San Diego.

The Private Client Reserve president Mike Ott said: "Scott’s extensive experience, innate leadership ability, and unwavering commitment to our clients make him the ideal choice to lead the San Diego office for The Reserve.
