London-based Threadneedle Investments has acquired a 2% stake in Gatehouse Bank, a London-based investment bank specializing in Shariah-compliant products and services.
Gatehouse originates Shariah-compliant investment for sophisticated clients looking to diversify and secure attractive returns for their portfolios. The bank helps bridge capital from the GCC region and Southeast Asia with investment in Western markets.

In 2014, Gatehouse Bank created a Shariah-compliant $100m mezzanine real estate fund relating to European assets based in the UK, Germany, Netherlands and Luxembourg.
