UBS Wealth Management Americas has lured a team of four financial advisers from Morgan Stanley that who managed $950m in client assets.

The new hires, David Sobocinski, Julian Frank, Marc Wong and Mark Remigio, will join the firm’s Melville, New York, office and will operate as the Empire Group.

The team had previously generated $5.6m in fees and commissions annually, working with high-net-worth clients.

Sobocinski worked as an executive director and financial adviser at Morgan Stanley. He previously worked with Lehman Brothers and Citigroup Global Markets. He started his career at David Lerner Associates in 1979.

Frank served as a senior vice president at Morgan Stanley. Prior to this, he worked with Lehman Brothers and also Citigroup.

Wong previously worked with two other broker-dealers, Citigroup and also at IDS Life Insurance Co. Remigio began his career at Merrill Lynch and joined Citigroup in 2005.
