UBS Wealth Management Americas has hired Morgan Stanley’s Paul Hatch as group managing director and head of advice and solutions and has also restructured several positions.

The position, head of advice and solutions for wealth management in the Americas, combines duties previously held by Bill Carroll and David McWilliams.

As part of the moves, the Swiss bank had split leadership of its wealth management client advisory group, a role previously held by Jason Chandler., who will be taking on responsibility for advisers in the four eastern regions.

Bill Carroll, former head of investment solutions, will oversee the four western markets.

Carroll has also been given responsibility for national sales, a role focused on recruiting for all eight divisions.

Paul Santucci, the head of national sales, will now report directly to Carroll.

Hatch began his brokerage career at E.F. Hutton in 1986 and went on to become national sales manager and then head of strategy and client solutions at Smith Barney. He left Morgan Stanley, which acquired Smith Barney, almost two years ago as part of an exodus of many former Smith Barney managers.
