Swiss banking giant UBS has named Eli Leenaars as the new vice chairman of its wealth management unit.
Leenars will join the Swiss bank in April and will be based in Zurich.

He will join Alain Robert, Juerg Haller, Edoardo Spezzotti and Michel Adjadj, who are also designated as vice chairman at UBS’s wealth management arm.
Leenars will report to UBS Wealth Management chief executive Jürg Zeltner.
Leenaars will join UBS from ING Group where he was most recently designated as CEO of ING Retail Banking International as well as was on ING Bank’s executive board since 2004.
He also served as chairman of central and eastern Europe at ING’s European and Latin American business and also worked at ING Americas as executive vice president of strategic initiatives.
