UBS has appointed Oliver Bilal as its new head of asset management for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Bilal will replace Andreas Schlatter, who served as interim head since October 2014, reported The Wall Street Journal.

Bilal, who is slated to join the UBS in May, most recently served at Pioneer Investments.
He served in the role of a senior executive in Germany till late last year, and in January moved to spearhead Pioneer’s joint venture with Indian state-owned lender Baroda Bank.
At the same time, Bilal will also join the global asset management executive committee of the Swiss bank.
