In the new role, Slade will manage leveraged finance origination and leveraged capital markets encompassing marketing, originating, structuring and distributing leveraged debt, either as leveraged loans or high-yield bonds.

Slade will be based in London, reporting to Corporate Client Solutions (CCS) head William Vereker. He will also sit on the executive committee of CCS.

CCS was formed following an overhaul in the bank’s investment banking arm. The restructure split the unit into CCS and Investor Client Services.

Slade earlier served at Credit Suisse for 12 years. At the firm, he held management roles including European head of leverage finance and co-head of European credit, where he managed high yield, mezzanine, leverage loans, distressed and Collateralised Loan Obligation funds.
