UBS Asset Management (UBS-AM) Real Estate & Private Markets (REPM) has named Perry Offutt as the new head of infrastructure for Americas.

Based in New York, Offutt will be responsible for expanding REPM’s infrastructure investment operations in the Americas, through its global platform of funds and mandates.

He will join UBS-AM in June this year from Macquarie Infrastructure & Real Assets and will report to UBS-AM head of infrastructure Tommaso Albanese.

At Macquarie, Offutt served as a managing director of the North American Investment team.

His financial career of over two decades also includes a 15-year stint at Morgan Stanley, where he worked as head of infrastructure banking for the Americas.

In addition, the firm appointed Floyd Gent to a portfolio company-focused senior advisory role. Gent currently serves as the firm’s head of infrastructure equity for the Americas region.

The firm also named Alex Leung as a research analyst in the team, based in New York. He previously served for seven years as an equity analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein.

Meanwhile, Vanessa Lamort De Gail, currently a portfolio manager in the REPM team and a former Deutsche Bank employee, will now be responsible for launching an infrastructure debt fund capability in the US and will be based in New York.
