UBS, the Swiss financial services giant, has appointed Michael Crowl as the general counsel of its Wealth Management Americas division.
Crowl will assume office starting July 2014, taking reigns from Brent Taylor, who was serving as an acting capacity at UBS and will replace Jonathan Eisenberg.

Eisenberg departed from UBS to join back his old firm K&L Gates at the end of 2013.
Legal Week has quoted UBS general counsel Markus Diethelm and Americas CEO Bob McCann citing an internal memo as saying: "Michael’s global experience and broad regulatory relationships will be critical to helping us navigate significant industry changes in the coming years, working with numerous authorities and regulators in the region and in helping our businesses achieve their strategic goals."
Before UBS, Crowl has held a general counsel position at Barclays Bank since 2010, managing 170 attorneys and paralegals in North and South America.
