TSB Bank has hired David Fenton from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) as its new chief economist.
In his new role, Fenton will be responsible for providing intelligence and analysis to senior management on economic issues impacting the business.

He will be based in Edinburgh, Scotland and report to Candy Gil, TSB’s director of planning, reporting and analysis.
Fenton has over 15 years experience in the financial services industry. At RBS, David held the position of senior economist delivering analysis about how the economic environment affected the bank’s corporate customers, including small and medium enterprises. Prior to this, he was head of Microeconomics.
Before moving to RBS, Fenton worked at Ernst & Young as a finance executive responsible for looking after public and private sector clients on various private finance initiative and public private partnership deals.
