Guernsey-based Trust Corporation has restructured its senior management team by appointing Amit Taylor as its group managing director in a move for future growth and development.

As a part of the move the company’s founders and former managing director, Michael Betley, will take on the new role of executive group chairman and former chairman Tim Betley will remain as a non-executive director.

Betley said that Taylor’s has proven professional management capabilities and skills which will challenge the current management and help further grow the business.

Taylor, with 20 years of industrial experience has relocated to Guernsey in 2010 to become managing director of the securities services division of an international bank. Prior to this he has joined HSBC as director of European sales for HSBC Securities Services in London.

Taylor has expertise in the development and implementation of strategic plans, sales and business development, business management and in driving change.

Taylor has started his career with PwC in London before moving into their specialist investment management consulting team.

Betley said: "Having established Trust Corporation 10 years ago we appreciate the need to take stock and make strategic changes to the way we run our business, in particular if we are to continue to prosper as we have done.

"The next 10 years will be about remaining relevant and adapting to the fast-changing international business environment within which we operate.
