British wealth manager Towry has named Peter Donnell as new investment director to its New Street Square office in London.

In his new role, Donnell will be responsible for managing discretionary and advisory clients within Ashcourt Rowan Asset Management.

Prior to joining Towry, Donnell worked with Brewin Dolphin for nine years as an investment director. Prior to that, he also worked at HSBC James Capel for 16 years.

Donnell, who has 30 years’ experience in the private client industry having, began his career with Hoare Govett.

Towry head of client proposition John Porteous said: "He is an accomplished and highly qualified investment manager who will further strengthen the wide ranging skills and expertise in our Bespoke Portfolio team. We are delighted to have him on board."
