British wealth manager Towry has hired Wadham Downing as new chief financial officer, replacing Paul Wright.

Downing will report to chief executive Rob Devey and will be a member of the Towry Board. Wright will remain with the business and on the Towry Board until his retirement in June 2016.

Downing joined Towry from Legal & General, where he held a number of senior group roles including group CFO and group merger and acquisition and strategy director. Prior to this, he has worked with Resolution and Britannic.
