British wealth manager Tilney has appointed Nicholas Pearson to the newly created role of head of charity business development.

Pearson has an experience of over four decades. He previously served at Cazenove, where he set up a charity division.

He also helped establish the Charities Investors Group 20 years back, and now serves as president of the group.

Tilney head of charities Paul Frame said: “As we look to build on our established reputation for managing and advising investments for charitable organisations at Tilney, we are delighted to have someone of the gravitas and calibre of Nicholas to join our fold.

“Nicholas’ knowledge and experience of working within the third sector is second to none and we are thrilled that he is joining our experienced investment team to assist our growth ambitions in this area.”

The firm has been on an accelerated recruitment drive as it rebranded from Tilney Bestinvest to Tilney Group last month following the completion of its integration with Towry.
