Tilney Bestinvest, a UK-based investment and financial planning firm, has named David Cummins as new director of financial planning in Kent.

Based at the firm’s Maidstone office, Cummins will report to Richard Dawes, the firm’s managing director of financial planning.
In his new role, Cummins will be responsible for expanding the firm’s regional financial planning presence.
Dawes said that the company intends to double its financial planning team over the coming months.
Cummins joined Tilney Bestinvest from European Wealth, where he served as senior financial adviser in their East Malling office. Prior to this, he worked at St. James’s Place, Halifax Bank of Scotland and Equitable Life.
