The Colony Group, Boston-based partner firm of Focus Financial Partners, has acquired Long Wharf Investors (LWI), an independent RIA with approximately US$200 million in client assets.
The acquisition is expected to boost Colony’s assets under management to US$3.75 billion.

Upon completion of the deal, LWI principals Rod Macdonald and John Keller will move to the Colony team.
Founded in 1995, Long Wharf Investors offers wealth and investment management services to more than 125 high-net-worth (HNW) clients.

Since 2011, Colony has tripled its assets under management, from US$1.2 billion to approximately US$3.75 billion.
