TD Bank has promoted John Leto, its senior vice president and regional wealth leader for the metro New York region, to the post of chief operating officer of TD Wealth Private Client Group.
Prior to joining TD Wealth in 2012, Leto served as president and CEO of Standard Chartered Private Bank, Americas, reports Bank Investment Consultant.

In his new role, Leto will be responsible for leading the group’s strategic sales and support functions.
In addition, TD Wealth has appointed Margaret Preston in the role of regional wealth leader for the metro New York region, who will substitute Leto’s old role.
Preston formerly worked at U.S. Trust in the role of managing director and regional executive, where she was responsible for attracting talent and leading client service teams across the Northeast.
In his new role, Preston will be responsible for expanding the company’s presence in the New York City, Westchester, Long Island and Northern New Jersey markets.
