Swiss banking group SYZ & CO has introduced a new retail share class for its European Selection Fund.

The fund, which was launched in November 2011, is currently available only to institutional investors with a minimum investment of €1millio.

However, the new retail share class will be avialable for all investors without any minimum investment.

Managed by Eric Bendahan, the fund will use a five year investment horizon by focusing on long term growth companies and those in turn-around situations.

Bendahan will mainly focus on family companies and companies where there are large valuation discrepancies between their shares and their bonds and significant changes in their management or shareholders.

According to SYZ & CO, the fund has a cumulative performance of +83.6% as against +56.9% for its benchmark index STOXX Europe 600 EUR NR2.
