Neue Privat Bank is the 13th Swiss bank to be accused by US authorities of enabling tax evasion among Americans.
Patrick Odier, president of the Swiss Bankers Association, has renewed calls for a speedy resolution of what he labeled "the extremely difficult negotiations" between the US and Switzerland.
Odier said: "We adjusted our position in the first quarter after numerous talks with bank representatives and came to the conclusion at the end of March that we should no longer categorically reject an automatic exchange of information. But it should be introduced globally."
