Swiss private bank UBS has prohibited some of its employees from wealth management unit from entering France, as the bank is undergoing an investigation in the country, Swiss radio and television RTS reported quoting undisclosed sources.

The RTS website also read that employees who do not respect the ban may lose their job.

UBS is accused of illegally selling products in the country to avoid French taxes, following which the French judicial authorities have started a formal investigation.

UBS spokeswoman Dominique Scheiwiller was quoted by Reuters as saying that there is an investigation under way and that they are cooperating with French authorities.

RTS website also read that the bank had already informed staff about the travel ban before the Easter weekend and the ban will hold good until further notice.
