Australian financial services provider Suncorp has appointed Patrick Farrell as its new head of investment, replacing Nick Basile who resigned last month.
Farrell will be responsible for the group's portfolio of investments as well as funds under management.

He will report to Suncorp deputy CFO Jeremy Robson in the new role.
Farrell earlier served as CIO and head of advance asset management at BT Financial Group- Westpac’s wealth management arm- from 2008 till June 2016.
He also has extensive experience working with investments in the insurance sector.
