Prior to joining Succession, Goodall worked at Parmenion as a partner and also at Ascentric as sales and marketing director. Prior to joining Ascentric, he worked with SEI.

Succession operates own white-label version of the IFDL platform managed by Simon Taylor.

Goodall said: "Having worked with Succession to develop the original platform, I have admired the rapid development of their proposition as platform owners.

"The platform market is fragmenting with fewer operators offering a full open architecture model, like Succession, leading to reduced choice for clients. I look forward to playing a full part in ensuring the business, and the advisers using the platform benefit fully from the opportunities arising from regulatory reform, consumer behaviour and auto-enrolment," he added.
