UK-based Standard Life Investments has appointed Euan Stirling as the head of stewardship and ESG Investment replacing Guy Jubb.

Stirling, who joined Standard Life Investments’ as a UK equity analyst in 2001, previously worked with Schroder Investment Management as a senior fund manager and investment analyst in the UK equity team managing a range of institutional UK equity portfolios for both public and private sector pension schemes.
The company said that newly created role reflects the importance it attaches to this part of its investment process across all asset classes.
Additionally, Jubb will continue to work on Standard Life’s engagement with companies until he retires on 31 March 2016.
