UK-based Standard Life Investments has expanded its multi-asset global strategy team by hiring Chris Faulkner-MacDonagh as new market strategist and Alex Wolf as emerging markets economist.

Based in Edinburgh, Faulkner-MacDonagh will report to Andrew Milligan, head of global strategy.

In his new role, MacDonagh will be tasked at analyzing the primary drivers across major asset classes.

Faulkner-MacDonagh joined Standard Life from Ziff Brothers Investments, where he worked as senior economist. Prior to this, he worked at the International Monetary Fund and the US Treasury.

Also based in Edinburgh and reporting to Jeremy Lawson, chief economist, Wolf will be responsible for analysing key emerging markets and the global business cycle.

Prior to joining Standard Life, Wolf worked with the US State Department as a US diplomat in Beijing and Taipei. He also held roles at BAE Systems and Lehman Brothers.
