Standard Life Investments has appointed Matthew Newham and Jill Shaw as its new investment directors.
Newham, who joins the company from JANA Investment Advisers, will be responsible for developing the company’s wholesale business across Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to joining JANA Investment Advisers, Newham served as analyst at IWL and Coca Cola Amatil.
Newham, who will be based in Sydney, has over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Shaw has about two decades of experience. In her new role, she will oversee development of institutional business in Australasia.
Shaw joins the Sydney office on relocation from the company’s head office in Edinburgh.

By GlobalDataMatthew and Jill will report to Simone Bouch, head of Standard Life Investment in Australasia.
Bouch told said that the company is seeing rising demand from Australian investors for multi asset and fixed income absolute returns strategies and growing interest in global real estate solutions.
"The size and sophistication of the Australian market makes it an important region for Standard Life Investments and I am confident that we have the skills and expertise in place to provide clients with innovative investment solutions and high levels of service," Bouch added.
