Global asset manager Standard Life Investments has appointed Daniel McKernan as head of Sterling Investment Grade Credit.

McKernan will be joining Standard Life Investments in the autumn.

McKernan will join Standard Life Investments’ 34 strong Credit team and play a key role in driving both the sterling retail and institutional credit business. He will have lead responsibility for the Corporate Bond Fund and a number of large credit mandates.

McKernan will report directly into Craig Macdonald who will take over as head of credit following Andrew Sutherland’s retirement at the beginning of July.
