UK-based asset manager Standard Life Investments has set up a new team in Singapore and has appointed Choon Wah Wong as the CEO of its Singapore operations.
In addition to the role of CEO at Standard Life Investments Singapore, Wong will also serve as the head of Asia-Pacific real estate. He will report to head of international real estate based in Edinburgh Mike Hannigan.

He will help build a real estate fund management and manufacturing platform in Asia Pacific, manage the region’s global real estate portfolios, and will also be tasked with the overall management of the Singapore office.
Wong most recently served as the senior vice president at Partners Group in Singapore.
The new four-member team in Singapore will include Ted Roy as deputy fund manager; Jason Lam as associate investment director of Asia wholesale sales ; and Tervinder Chal as head of Asia Pacific real estate finance and operations.
Roy will be responsible for managing assets and advising on property acquisitions and outlooks in the region, while Chal will develop and run the operating platform supporting the Asia Pacific real estate business.
