Standard Life Investments has appointed Gerry Fowler as investment director within its multi-asset investment team.
In this newly created role, Fowler will generate ideas, investment recommendations and implementation strategies for the multiasset investment team’s range of funds and strategies.

Fowler, who was previously global head of equity and derivatives strategy at BNP Paribas, will be based in Edinburgh and report to Guy Stern, executive director of multiasset and macro investing.
Commenting on the appointment, Stern said: "Gerry is a highly skilled strategic analyst with a wealth of experience in equities and equity derivatives and will add to the already impressive range of knowledge and experience within the MAI team.
