Standard Chartered Private Bank has strengthened its Global South Asia Community (GSAC) team with the appointments of Bharath Shetty, Gagan Mehrotra, Apurva Kothari, Deepak KV and Komal Syal.
Shetty has been appointed as managing director and team head for private banking, while Mehrotra has been named executive director for private banking.

Kothari, Deepak KV and Syal have all joined as managing directors for private banking.
Both Shetty and Kothari have an experience of two decades each and join from Julius Baer.
Deepak KV and Syal also join from Julius Baer, and have an experience of 15 years each in banking. Deepak KV previously also worked at Barclays and Coutts, while Syal formerly had stints at Coutts and ABN Amro.
Mehrotra, with an experience of around 20 years in private banking and wealth management, most recently served at JP Morgan.
