Standard Chartered has named Henrik Raber as new head of capital markets, effective 16 August 2014.

Based in Singapore, Raber will report to Mark Dowie, acting group head of financial markets.

Raber will be replacing Anand Kumar, who has left teh bank to pursue new career opportunities.

Raber, who joined Standard Chartered in July 2009 as the regional head of debt capital markets for Europe, Africa and the Americas, most recently held the role as head of debt capital markets.

Prior to this, Raber served as head of the European credit flow sales business at UBS Investment Bank and also worked at Lehman Brothers for eight years in fixed income and trading and capital market.

With his experience and leadership, and I am confident that Henrik will be able to continue the strong momentum of the capital markets business as we continue to focus on providing innovative fund raising solutions to our clients."
