British banking major Standard Chartered Bank has named Neeraj Swaroop as its new CEO for operations in Singapore, effective 31 March 2014.

Prior to this appointment, Swaroop was the CEO for the bank’s operations in ASEAN excluding Singapore.

Swaroop, with 23 years of experience in the financial services industry, has also served as the regional head for India and South Asia.

Standard Chartered Bank currently employs more than 7,400 people in Singapore, which was its second largest contributor in profits.
