Standard Chartered has added trustee services to its global custody and fund services capabilities for collective investment schemes in Singapore.

The bank now offers a full range of services including fund administration, fund trustee, custody, and cash management for fund managers seeking to offer authorized funds in Singapore.

The move is part of the bank’s global expansion of its fund trustee and depositary services, which includes nine markets such as Hong Kong, Malaysia, Luxembourg, South Africa and Uganda where services were launched last year.

Margaret Harwood-Jones, global segment sponsor for investors and intermediaries, said: "With the upcoming ASEAN Fund Passport, Singapore, which provides the benefit of clear regulatory and tax rules, will be an excellent base for fund managers to market their funds to ASEAN investors."
