RIT Capital has appointed St James’ Place (SJP) co-founder and life president Mike Wilson to its board as an independent non-executive director and member of the Remuneration Committee.

Wilson replaces James Leigh-Pemberton who stepped down from the board following his appointment as chief executive of UK Financial Investments.

Wilson, who was the chief executive of SJP from its launch in 1992 to 2004 and then chairman until 2011 will also serve on the trust’s remuneration committee.

Prior to founding SJP, he was a board member at Allied Dunbar and BAT Industries.
