Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland (SGPBS) has selected Clemens Pieger to lead its Zurich office.
With more than 34 years of experience in international private banking, Pieger assumes the responsibility immediately.

Previously, Piegerheld the role of chief client officer and senior international banker of Societe Generale Bank & Trust Luxembourg.
He started his career in 1985 at Deutsche Bank and joined Societe Generale Bank & Trust Luxembourg in 2001.
As the SGPBS Zurich head, Pieger will look to further support private banking activities in the city. He is also expected to strengthen commercial synergies with the group other teams and locations.
Commenting on the new appointment, SGPBS CEO Franck Bonin said: “I am delighted with the arrival of Clemens Pieger as Head of our Zurich branch, a strategic location for our private banking activities in Switzerland and particularly in the Financial Intermediaries segment, to whom we offer dedicated and innovative products and services.

Bonin also joined SGPBS just two months back. His appointed was confirmed by Societe Generale in September.
Bonin succeeded Olivier Lecler and is in charge of the company’s operations in Monaco, Switzerland and Luxembourg.
