Laurent Depus will take over his new responsibility with effect from 1 October 2012, and will report to Jean-François Mazaud, head of Societe Generale Private Banking.
Previously, Depus was the president of Societe Generale Securities, Tokyo branch and chief country officer for Japan since 2010.

He joined Societe Generale’s Tokyo branch in 2001 and has held various management positions such as head of operations and chief operating officer.
Depus succeeds Christophe Billard, who will be taking up a new position in the bank. Meanwhile, Depus will also retain his existing role as chief country officer for Societe Generale Group in Japan.
Additionally, Guillaume Burtschell, apartf from being the head of corporate & investment banking in Japan, will also be the president of Societe Generale Securities, Tokyo branch, effective 1 October 2012
Burtschell will report to Hikaru Ogata, CEO of Societe Generale corporate & investment banking for the Asia-Pacific region and replaces Depus.
