Gilson Gray, a UK-based law and financial advice firm and part of St James’ Place (SJP) network, has purchased two IFA firms in order to expand its financial management arm.
It acquired A MacLeod Financial Services and The Lindsay Practice, which are led by Angus Macleod and Alastair Lindsay respectively.

The acquisition will boost Gilson Gray’s assets under management to over £100 million and has added £2.4 million in capital value to the firm’s balance sheet.
Additionally, the firm is targeting £500 million of assets under management within five years and is looking for further financial advice businesses acquisitions.

Gilson Gray, which was launched in May this year and based in Glasgow and Edinburgh, will provide advice on mortgages, investments, pensions, protection/insurance and tax planning.
Based in Edinburgh, The Lindsay Practice offers a bespoke wealth management service.
