Silvercrest Asset Management has named Marshall Acuff and Palmer Garson as new managing directors in a move to expand the firm’s presence in Virginia.
The duo will be responsible for customising Silvercrest’s investment and wealth advisory services to meet the financial needs of ultra-high net worth families and institutional investors.

Acuff and Garson together have more than six decades of investment management and wealth advisory experience working with private clients, family offices, foundations, endowments and other institutional investors.
Acuff will also serve as a member of Silvercrest’s Investment Policy and Strategy Committee.
Prior to joining Silvercrest, Acuff has set up AMA Investment Counsel in Richmond and also worked at Smith Barney, where he served as a senior member of the Investment Policy Committee.
Garson previously served at several firms including Morgan Stanley, AG Edwards and Mellon Bank. Garson has also founded a private equity firm Jefferson Capital Partners.
