The US Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) has appointed Kenneth Bentsen as its new president and CEO, succeeding Judd Gregg with immediate effect.
In his new role, Bentsen will be responsible for ensuring trust in the financial markets and fostering the importance of capital markets in financing a growing American economy.

Most recently, Bentsen served as president of SIFMA. Previously, he served as executive vice president of public policy and advocacy since 2009 overseeing SIFMA’s legal, legislative and regulatory affairs.
According to SIFMA, Senator Gregg will continue to work with the association in the role of senior advisor.
