UK-based Seneca Investment Managers has named Peter Elston as new global investment strategist.
In his new role, Elston will play a key role in the asset allocation of Seneca’s multi-asset Oeics and its Seneca Global Income & Growth trust.

Additionally, he will enable the existing asset allocation team to concentrate more on security and fund selection in addition to managing day to day fund management responsibilities.
Elston is also expected to work closely with the media and also write investment articles in his current role.
Elston joined Seneca from Aberdeen Asset Management, where he was head of Asia Pacific strategy and asset allocation. He also sat on Aberdeen’s global strategy committee.
Prior to this, he worked at Mercury Asset Management, Northpoint Investment Partners and Oblong Capital Management.
