British fund manager Schroders has appointed Andrew Ross, the current CEO of Cazenove Capital Management, as its new global head of wealth management.

Ross, in addition to his current role, will now also be responsible for wealth management outside of the UK.

He will continue to report to Philip Mallinckrodt, who will take on responsibility as group head of private assets in addition to his overall responsibilities for wealth management.

The British firm has also announced that Massimo Tosato, currently executive vice chairman and global head of distribution, will retire from the company’s board on 31 December 2016.

The company has decided to split Tosato’s role in two, with John Troiano taking over as global head of distribution and Richard Mountford becoming global head of product.

Both Troiano and Mountford will report to group CEO Peter Harrison.
