According to Schroders, the initiative will comprise a wide range of themes including macroeconomic research; environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) investing; portfolio management and construction; asset allocation; and investment risk management.

As part of the investment research initiative, joint seminars and workshops will be held on current trends in investment management.

Additionally, the research initiative will provide forty full scholarships to postgraduate students over a two-year period, increasing the participation of disadvantaged students at both the honour’s and master’s levels.

The initiative, will be supported locally by Argon Asset Management, will also offer a number of awards for the best papers on a wide range of investment related topics. It is expected that more strategic partners will join the initiative in 2016.
