Schroders is to launch a new UK financial institutions and strategic accounts team designed to boost its relationships with financial institutions in the UK.

The new team will be headed by Schroders head of UK marketing James Rainbow and the team will look to expand the group’s relationships with national IFA firms, banks, insurance companies, platforms and wraps.

In his new role, Rainbow will report into Robin Stoakley, managing director of UK Intermediary at Schroders and will continue in his UK marketing role until September 2013.

Rainbow will also be supported by Ross Mackinnon, Jon Simmons and Paul Hazeldine in his new position.

The team will work alongside the firm’s UK discretionary sales team, which is managed by Phil Middleton, and the UK Advisory sales team, managed by Steve Jackson.

In September 2013, Rainbow will hand over his current responsibilities to Peter Beckett, head of international marketing at Schroders.
