Schroders has expanded its multi-asset investments and portfolio solutions (MAPS) business by hiring Mike Kleyn and Duncan Shand to will work in the Advanced Beta team.
In their new roles, Kleyn and Shand will be responsible for focusing on expanding Advanced Beta capabilities across asset classes.

Kleyn joined Schroders from Diamond Lightsource Synchrotron, where he worked as a scientific software developer. He has 15 years of experience in developing and researching systematic fixed income strategies at ABN Amro and BlackRock.
Shand, who will join the Advanced Beta team on a permanent basis, has joined Schroders from BlackRock, where he worked for 14 years holding senior roles in the global markets strategies group.
Shand has joined Schroders as a senior adviser on a consultancy basis in September 2014 from Warwick Business School where he was a professor of practice.
