Schroders has appointed Mercer Investment Consulting senior partner Divyesh Hindocha’s as its global head of product and defined contribution, effective 1 November, 2013.
In his new role, Hindocha will report to executive vice-chairman Massimo Tosato.

Hindocha takes over the role from Gavin Ralston who has covered the product role on an interim basis since his promotion to head of official institutions last year.
Hindocha, who was also global director of consulting at Mercer and was responsible for the company’s global strategic research capabilities.
For the first time Schroders, has created a role that combines DC retirement planning and product development.
Tosato said that the role has reflected the growing importance of DC to the firm.
