Cazenove’s Julie Dean as the fund’s new manager has been appointed Schroder UK Growth investment trust’s – worth GBP271.9 million (US$422.3 million) – fund manager by the board.
The hiring took place as current manager Richard Buxton, who also manages the GBP3.4billion Schroder UK Alpha Plus fund, announced he is leaving Schroders in June to join Old Mutual.

Schroders has agreed to waive its management fee for six months after the transistion is completed.
Dean will join Schroders after Cazenove has recently been acquired by the asset manager. Dean is due to take up the new role from July, 2013.
