Schechter Wealth Strategies, an advisory firm specialising in wealth management services, announced the appointments of Stephen Blocki as chief operating officer and Robert Langer as managing director of the firm’s newly opened New York office.
The announcement was made jointly by Schechter’s Senior Managing Directors Marc Schechter and Jason Zimmerman. Established in 1939, Schechter works with high net worth individuals and businesses to manage the preservation, accumulation and transfer of wealth.

In his new role, Blocki will be responsible for leading the operations of the Schechter organization and executing the firm’s vision and growth plan.

Prior to joining Schechter, Blocki worked for Dürr Systems for 20 years in various roles, most significantly as the Environmental Division Business Unit Head initiating growth beyond North America to Mexico, China and Korea. He graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and holds an MBA in finance from Wayne State University in Detroit.

By GlobalDataLanger joins Schechter in a newly created position as Managing Director of the New York Regional Office. He will be responsible for introducing Schechter’s unique solutions and strategies in wealth preservation, accumulation, estate and businesses planning to the New York area.

Langer brings to Schechter an impressive knowledge of the financial industry having spent his entire career on Wall Street. He has been a Bond Trader and Salesman and spent the last 10 years managing and running hedge funds. Most recently he headed up the fixed income sales and trading at BTIG, a boutique Broker-Dealer in New York City.
